My culinary journey began at the age of 7, with a simple paring knife and an onion that my grandmother handed to me. “Here you go, chop this for me”, she said. This simple statement and humble ingredient would go on to define my entire life.

Growing up, my grandmothers who are fabulous cooks made it their mission to feed me the absolute best. From a very young age, my palate became well versed in 2 distinctive cuisines. Traditional Islamic cuisine dedicated to meat, and technical Gujarati cuisine. These diverse cuisines created the dichotomy in my culinary journey early on.

I uncovered my passion for food while pursuing a bachelor's degree in Australia. Recreating my grandmother's recipes across continents helped me reconnect with my roots. I pursued a career in the culinary arts to keep this connection alive. My dreams became a reality when I worked under the best chefs in Bangalore for 4 years, giving me the jumpstart to study at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. This life-changing degree equipped me with the skills and tools to start my own venture.
